Imaginal cells

Did you know that before a caterpillar becomes a butterfly, it experiences a period in the cocoon when it dissolves completely into undifferentiated cells called "imaginal cells." While this process may look like complete destruction of the caterpillar's former life, these cells can become any type of cell and form the entirely new body of the butterfly.
Sometimes change in our lives can feel like complete upheaval - be that the loss of a job, the death of a loved one, the recognition the path we thought would lead to happiness is no longer serving us. Yet this "liminal" or threshold time is often just what we need to venture into new territory and growth.
One of my friends, Rona Yellow Robe, wrote a song called the "Caterpillar and the Butterfly." She jokes, when the caterpillar sees a butterfly, it's probably saying to itself - "You'll never get me up in one of those contraptions!" Yet little does it know the incredible life and freedom that transformation will lead to.
Coaching was fundamental to helping me through some "liminal" times in my life that ultimately led to transformation I never could have imagined or navigated on my own.
I offer free consultations - see if my coaching program is right for you as you navigate your own thresholds.
